What an absolutely incredible match we all got to witness yesterday!😍
Carlos and Jannik gave us probably the most intense and spectacular showdown of the 21st century🤯
Carlos’s comebacks were just brilliant. Jannik had so many chances to close it out and take the trophy, but every time, Alcaraz pushed harder, fought back, and the match went on!😮
It felt like when Carlos clawed his way back in the fifth set from 5–3 down, Jannik’s spirit cracked a little — that’s why the tiebreak ended up so one-sided. And u could clearly see that Jannik was more exhausted physically than Carlitos🐰
And poor Jannik’s mom — it was heartbreaking to watch her reactions the whole match. U could feel her pain!
Also, I have to say — this tradition of making the runner-up give a speech feels so cruel! I can’t imagine speaking after a loss like that😭
What else can I say? I’m blown away by this Roland-Garros! It’s probably the first tournament I followed so closely, and I really felt all the drama and intensity!😮🥰

And of course, I’m so happy for Carlitos — though I was cheering for Jannik too. Honestly, I was rooting for both of them! They’re like two best friends forced to compete! Haha!
