🕑 Added 2023-09-24 16:53:27 +0000 UTC I had been with my boyfriend for about 2 years and I had know for quite sometime that he just wasn’t the one but because we were living together it was more convenient to just stay with him, rent was high and it was cheaper to just stay. He wasn’t mean or disrespectful or anything like that we just really grew apart but we’re comfortable. We were more roommates that shared a bed. We never had sex, we didn’t even kiss anymore. When I say we were roommates, we really were. We didn’t “check in” with one an other anymore. Like for instance.. I came home one Friday to a note from my boyfriend (For ease let’s call him Zack.) that said that we was going on a camping trip and didn’t know when he’d be back. What!? He didn’t mention any of this to me during the week but going camping isn’t something you can just pull together especially in our area- you need reservations so I knew it had been planned and he chose to not tell me. It didn’t bother me because I was emotionally detached. But a heads up would have been nice. Anyways, after the initial reaction I was thinking “YES! A bed to myself! I can’t watch whatever I want and my apartment will be clean!” That night while I was eating an amazing seafood pasta I made for myself and having a glass of wine my phone dinged. It was my bestie, Karly.
