🕑 Added 2023-12-22 08:49:33 +0000 UTC If we take a closer look at people's activity in this world, we will find that most of them, without knowing it, are in constant search of support. But in reality, people almost never find it, because there can be no true inner support in the external world. Peter Zorin When we become inwardly oriented toward object reality, our happiness begins to depend on the external world. And then the external world has to continue to supply us with supports: material, emotional, financial, physical, relational. If suddenly there is a breakdown and the supply stops, we experience a deep crisis. Peter Zorin People who have no inner support sometimes assume that it can be found in another person. The unexpected behavior of a loved one is then seen as a collapse of all supports. An attempt to compensate for the lack of one's own inner support has never succeeded. If one is tired of exerting oneself, has lost faith in oneself, the desired thing does not seem so alluring anymore - all these actions were not connected with the inner support. To reach maturity, a person needs to overcome his or her desire to receive support from the outside world and find new sources of support in himself or herself. Maturity or mental health is the ability to move from reliance on the environment and environmental regulation to self-reliance and self-regulation
