This will be the first time we have parted ways since we both went home to visit our families at the end of 2021 after living in India for 2 years. We met up in South America to start our travels here together in January 2022 and we have only been apart for one full day this whole time🤭 (we love adventuring together too much 😅) BUT - We are both people who value alone time so during some of our days we have gone on our own adventures and spent our days doing our own things we love to do for self care and time for one’s self. I will be staying in Chile alone for this time while he is home with his family and friends, reconnecting with his roots and people he hasn’t seen in 5, 10 years! I will spend my time creating jewelry for my business with lots of self love days and moving my body. We have been going through a bit of a stressful time these last few days with regards to our travel plans ~ I am meant to be meeting him in Colombia in 6 weeks time to travel there for 3 months. But unfortunately, having a South African passport isn’t always the most travel friendly thing 😭 I was denied my Colombian visa and was told many different rules from different consulates, some say I need to do it in person in South Africa and others say I can just do it online. I have re-applied to see if I am able to get it as we already have our flights and plans for there! 😭 The loss of all the money spent on Colombia already will really suck but you know, governments and airlines don’t care about that! There is still a little bit of hope that it will all work out as planned, but if not, we will have to stay apart for a few extra weeks and make a new plan ~ we are always trusting the journey! We are going to miss each other so much because we are best friends and love wandering through life together, but we will also embrace this time apart ~ it’s so healthy to take time apart for your self when you’re in a relationship🌿
