I’m honestly still reeling after the whirlwind of Alicefest. 🎪🔥✨ March was the biggest artistic endeavour that i’ve personally ever set out on, and it feels difficult to decompress from something that was, quintessentially, me—my essence, my spirit, my passions, my favourite things, my chaotic creative nature. So many countless hours of planning and preparation; the physical, mental and spiritual tests of strength; the pouring of my heart and soul and tears into every event and stream; the love and support that was shown by my small but mighty lil MFC crew—all of it filled my cup in ways I could never express—but it also took a lot out of me. As someone with ADHD and imposter syndrome, I can’t help but wonder… what’s the next big adventure? What am I going to pour my energy into now? Maybe I’m just feeling a little lost in the afterglow. I have to admit, I am perpetually in a process of learning how to celebrate my wins and show compassion to myself—that voice telling me that I could have done better, that rest will create stagnation, that going quiet for a few days will render me forgettable—a classic creative conundrum. So, as you can guess, it can be kind of tough for me to reconcile the ending of a beautiful project. I have so many fun, sexy and entertaining clips from Alicefest that I can’t wait to share on here to commemorate a month that I’ll never forget. I hope they can show even a sliver of the joy that we cultivated together this March. So cheers to following dreams and committing to them in spite of every roadblock and setback. Cheers to going out on a limb, to trying new things and making a fool of yourself for what you love. Cheers to 2 years of debauchery and shenanigans, and here’s to many more. ✨
