It’s one of the most vital aspects of a healthy society. 💕One of my favorite things about humans is our ability to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes and imagine what their experience is like. Some of us do it very deeply, and feel what we perceive the other person is feeling as if it was happening to ourselves. It’s very important that we maintain empathy for everyone around us, even when they are being destructive. Now there are limits to this of course, and no one should tolerate abuse that crosses a line. But I think we can afford to be a little more patient and understanding with those who feel differently about things than we do. Stereotypes are harmful. They prevent us from understanding each other. If we just try to see the best intentions in each other instead of the worst, I promise this world will get a lot better. ❤️
