Why move the body before trying to wind down ❤️
Have you ever found yourself going to settle in either for sleep, a nap or something as meditation or slow breathing and your mind or body just - won’t slow down
Your body feels unable to sit still and you catch yourself moving or tossing about
Before we try to bring more calm into our bodies and space, we often need to release what energy has been stored there in the body
A few ways to warm up the body before moving into relaxation✨
-shaking the limbs and body open ( sitting or standing )
-combining breathing with tapping or massage
-jumping up and down
-tapping the body
-slow jogging
-dancing
-stretching and more
The next time you desire to wind down some - allow yourself to try some intentional shaking or one or more of these practices and notice how you feel afterward if any different
