‘Serre-Moi’ is a song I recently recorded, a few weeks ago actually. I asked my girlfriend, @adhdtravels, to record vocals for the chorus. This marks the first time she’s ever sang in a professional recording as part of a full song. She’s been wanting to get into music and so I saw an opportunity and we ran with it. I wanted the chorus to be in French, and the rest of the song to be in English, to fully embrace what it means to be Montrealers. I had no real intention of releasing this song via iTunes, Spotify or any of those platforms. This song is essentially an experiment, one that we’re both very proud of. It allowed to vent my frustration of being overwhelmed by the pandemic we find ourselves in and the social unrests of 2020. I hope you like it. 🇨🇦🇳🇬🇩🇪Boy.
