I coveted his work for several months before I did my usual cold call reach up. One of my favourite ways to make friends is to reach out to someone that impresses me and see if they’ll give me the time of day. Those people endlessly fascinate and challenge me from day one. Plus I like a bit of an ego challenge and reaching up always provides. My friend quickly became one of my favourite photographers and a human I learned so much from. He still won’t publish his work and it kills me. His ability to see and freeze effortless beauty is unmatched.
