At one point he threw up his hands and said "I wonder what would happen if I just spoke to you in German." And he proceeded to continue to give me direction. He had such a soft, sweet demeanour that I really wanted the collaboration to work out and had empathy for his creative frustration. And something about the boundary in our communication was a bit of a turn on.
