I just received pretty shit news in the mail today. Almost a year ago I was arrested with my abusive ex and I had continued to call the collection agency but they told me I could only pay my fine in full or they’d call me when I had the option to use the payment plan. Unfortunately that call never came. What did come, was a letter to the wrong state and address giving me a court date over a week ago which of course I missed because I just got this letter today. I called them, they said they’d had been issuing warrants. I need to come up with $750 ASAP to protect my own life and wellbeing. Any tips or funding is extremely appreciated.
