In my language I just call it “Paradise”. It is a stunningly beautiful place that I just can’t get enough of. The main road through the nature reserve is called the “Orrie Baragwanath” Pass. One of the exit points is called the “Western Gate”. The first time we exited via this gate it became and adventure in it’s own. Just to reach the gate was a slow and tiring 4x4 experience. When we reached the gate, my husband was so happy. Through the gate it will be easy driving...wrong! Oh so wrong! It was here that the 4x4 excursion only began. Rocks, gullies, tree roots! Name it, it was thrown at us. It lasted for hours, with rest stops to take photos. Eventually my husband stopped and said he had to rest. We relaxed for about thirty minutes, had a beer and rested. We eventually got back in the car, ready for a lot more hours of t0rture. So off we went, ready, with knifes in our teeth... We started driving and 100 meters further down the road became a highway! Ok, not really a highway, but such a nice gravel road it felt like a highway.
